Alumni Weekend and Reunions

FAQs

How do I register for Alumni Weekend?

Visit the Registration page to secure your Alumni Weekend All-Access pass and the Milestone Celebration add-on ticket. Registration closed on October 7.

No on-site registration will be available.

How can I see who’s registered so far?

Check the Attendee List page. This includes a real-time registration list populated from all registrations. Use the dropdown list under “Attendee List” to view alumni who have expressed interest in specific events.

What is included in my weekend registration?

The $150 Alumni Weekend All-Access pass includes access to all three (3) days of Alumni Weekend events, tours, receptions, presentations, student events, refreshment lounges, continental breakfasts, and a gift for each guest. This includes entry to The Caltech Edge Lunch with the Provost, All-Alumni Celebration dinner, Pie & Burger lunch, Student Leadership Breakfast, House celebrations, and Astronomy on Tap.

An add-on $75 Alumni Milestone Reunion Celebration ticket is for members of class years 1979, 1984, 1989, 1994, 1999, 2004, 2009, 2014, and 2019 for a dinner at the Athenaeum’s Rath Al Fresco.

The Caltech Alumni Association (CAA) and Caltech are proud to offset event costs to provide a ticket price accessible to as many Techers as possible compared to peer institutions. We continue to balance a highly enjoyable and valuable experience with great meals and activities included against increasing venue and vendors costs.

Can I only purchase the Add-on Milestone Reunion Celebration ticket?

No, unfortunately this is an add-on ticket and only possible when registering for the Alumni Weekend All-Access pass. The Caltech Alumni Association (CAA) and Caltech have offset the costs for this special dinner to provide a ticket price accessible to as many Techers as possible versus passing on the entire cost from the Athenaeum and weekend activities. With All-Access pass registration fees, we have absorbed costs where possible to help more Techers participate.

Is there a celebration for the Class of 1974 and milestone class years not listed above?

Alumni of all years and degrees are welcome to attend the October Alumni Weekend! There are a variety of events and activities for all alumni to enjoy.

In May 2024, we offered a standalone celebration for Half Century Club alumni and the newest Half Century Club inductees from the Class of 1974. The Half Century Club includes all alumni who graduated 50 or more years ago. Events included Milestone Dinners for members of the Classes of 1969, 1964, 1959, 1954, 1949, and 1944.

Save the date for Half Century Club celebrations coming up May 16-18, 2025!

I need to cancel my registration; can I get a refund?

Yes. Refunds are possible through the October 7 registration deadline. Please email info@alumni.caltech.edu for assistance processing your refund.

What is the attire/dress code for the weekend?

Many events will be held outdoors, and temperatures can vary greatly from day to evening. Check the weather forecast for Pasadena. Make sure to pack the proper clothing and dress for comfort throughout the weekend, including all scheduled walking tours and hikes. Business casual or cocktail attire is welcome for dinners and events held at the Athenaeum.

Where can I stay in Pasadena?
